P4 LITTLE PC’S = BIG OPPORTUNITIES!
The First PENTIUM-4, full featured
PC that can fit in the palm of your hand

February 2003 –
from Stealth
Headquarters
Continuing the tradition of providing powerful solutions for
space-constrained applications, Stealth has released their Intel P4 based
LittlePC housed in a rugged extruded aluminum enclosure. This powerful &
versatile machine runs a screaming 2.8GHz Processor and yet it can fit
into the palm of your hand.
The LPC-401 measures out at only 10" x 5.8" x 2.8" (about the size of a
brick) and offers features that have only been available in traditional
bulky desktop PC’s. The feature rich LPC-401 offers high-end graphics
performance including 16 x 9 aspect ratios for high definition and Plasma
display applications.
Each
and every unit is shipped with on-board LAN, USB-2.0, Firewire, Audio
in/out and processors ranging from the Intel P4 1.7GHz up to the 2.8GHz,
(400/533MHz FSB). Included as a standard is a slim CD-Rom with
optional DVD and CD/RW drives available. The LPC-401 has unprecedented
storage capability in such a small machine by offering space for one 3.5”
and one 2.5” IDE Hard Disk Drive. Systems are compatible with WIN
9X/NT/2000/XP, Linux etc and can be pre-configured if desired.
The LittlePC products serve a demanding market where powerful solutions
are being deployed in space-constrained applications around the world.
Stealth’s LittlePC’s are ideal for deploying in space challenged
applications such as Digital Signs, Kiosks, Embedded Control,
Thin-Clients, POS & Human/Machine Interface applications.

Application Story - Stealth’s LittlePC
Empowering verbally challenged people to communicate
The
system is called 1-2-3 Speak and it provides a significant way for
non-verbal people to communicate through the use of a computer and
interactive touch screen technology. Family members or friends can record
up to 4000 words or phrases that are stored onto the hard drive of
Stealth’s littlePC system. Words and phrases are announced by simply
touching pre-configured Icons on the LCD monitor. The Stealth LittlePC
system was deployed due to its small size, versatile mounting, 12VDC
operation and feature rich capability. Since the system is mounted on a
wheelchair and is powered by the wheelchair batteries it was extremely
important that it also be energy efficient.

Developers of the system are Dr. Harold Blank, Nancy Cheng and Sonha Son
of CHI centers in Silver Springs, MD. This project has been funded by the
Joseph E. and Marjorie B. Jones Foundation, A Washington, DC based
philanthropic organization that supports medical research and education.
CHI Centers was founded in
1948 by a group of dedicated, concerned parents who recognized the need to
join forces with other parents of children with cerebral palsy to provide
for the special needs of these children through training, education, and
legislative advocacy.

REACH OUT AND "TOUCH" TECHNOLOGY
FAQ
- Selecting a Touch Screen Technology
There is often
some level of confusion and uncertainty when a customer is ready to select
a Touch Screen solution. StealthVU LCD Touch Monitors are available for a
wide range of applications and industries including plant floor,
interactive kiosks, medical, digital signs, industrial equipment and
process control. The Touchscreen technology should be carefully selected
to meet the demands of the user and its environment.
The four most common touch screen technologies include resistive,
infrared, capacitive and SAW (surface acoustic wave). Each technology
offers its own unique advantages and disadvantages. Resistive and
capacitive touch screen technologies are the most popular for industrial
applications. They are both very reliable. If the application requires
that operators can wear gloves when using the touch screen, then we
generally recommend the resistive technology (capacitive doesn't support
this). Otherwise the capacitive technology (better optical
characteristics) is more often recommended.

Stealth on the Tube
We Surreptitiously appear on the Dave Chalk Show
Stealth's
Notebook Warrior and Rugged Keyboard were featured on the Dave Chalk Show,
a computer show about technology and how it affects people in their daily
lives. This episode appeared back in late 2000 and focused on the hazards
sometimes faced with computing applications but with Stealth's products
they showed how there is no such thing as a bad day.
About the show Dave Chalk
Computer Life
Dave
Chalk & Mike Agerbo, the hosts of Dave Chalk Computer Life, have pioneered
a show that brings a human touch to the complexities of technology.
Realizing that technology for its own sake is not enough, they teach
people how to use technology to improve their business and personal lives.

STEALTH COMPUTER CORPORATION
Our Philosophy
We
started our business quietly in 1990 because there was an unfulfilled
need in the marketplace for computers and peripherals that could survive
the daily battlezone conditions of the shop floor. With our engineering
backgrounds in process control, instrumentation and factory automation
we knew first hand what was really needed and we possessed the experience
and empirical knowledge to design and create ruggedized computer products
to fill that void.
Stealth
Computer Corporation is continuing to grow from our basic root philosophy
and is evolving as a leading provider of premium rugged computer systems
and peripherals to a wide range of industrial, commercial and scientific
users, worldwide. Stealth is an ISO 9001:2000 Certified Company.
